Team Connolly secures our spot on £1 Billion Greater Manchester Net Zero Housing Retrofit Framework

We’re absolutely thrilled we can now let you all know that we’ve been appointed to multiple key lots within the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s (GMCA) monumental £1 billion Net Zero: Housing Retrofit Framework Agreement. This significant win marks a new relationship for Connolly with the GMCA and underscores the company’s growing influence in the UK’s green housing agenda.
The “Net Zero: Housing Retrofit Framework Agreement” is a crucial initiative aimed at making meaningful improvements to the energy efficiency of homes across England, whether they are privately owned or publicly managed.
Running for 48 months, this £1 billion framework starts in Greater Manchester but extends to homes nationwide.
We’ve been appointed to a range of lot’s all designed to help families save money on their bills and enjoy a warmer, more energy efficient home. Our works will give you:
- Warmth that Stays In: upgrading and installing new, highly efficient windows and doors (Lot 8), stopping heat from escaping and cold drafts from entering. This means a cosier home and less money spent on heating.
- Fresh Air, Energy Saved: with new ventilation and extraction (Lot 9), will lead to improved air quality without compromising on warmth, creating a healthier living space.
- Harnessing the Sun’s Power: with solar energy (Lot 10) means the potential for clean, renewable energy generation leading to savings on electricity bills.
- Superior Snugness: with cutting-edge insulation solutions (Lot 11), making homes more energy-efficient and comfortable year-round.
- Smart Control, Easier Living: Through controls and monitors, low energy lighting, and efficient electrical heaters (Lot 12), giving families greater control over energy use, making it simpler to manage and save.
- Effortless Home Upgrades: our appointment to “Turnkey Solutions” (Lot 13) means a hassle-free experience for families as we make homes greener and more energy efficient with minimal disruption.
Ultimately, this framework is about delivering tangible benefits directly to residents. By making homes more energy-efficient we are helping to create warmer, more comfortable and energy efficient homes, whilst contributing to a greener future for communities across the country.
Chris Connolly CEO said “We’re really proud that we get to be part of the GMCA’s Net Zero: Housing Retrofit Framework. “This isn’t just about upgrading houses; it’s about creating warmer, cosier, and more energy-affordable homes where families can truly thrive.
Plus, it’s a huge step towards a healthier environment for our kids and grandkids. It really is a wonderful investment in the well-being and future of our communities!”
