Team Connolly Helps Kids Shine in New Uniforms!
Team Connolly turned out to support local families, by donating cash to the FCHO Yearly School Uniform Appeal, an initiative that works to take away some of the financial pressure many parents face during the back-to-school period.
Linda Beaumont from Team Connolly said: “We know how expensive it can be for some families who are getting ready to send the kids back to school – shoes, shirts, coats, bags – the costs can really add up so when we heard about the FCHO Appeal we got in touch to see how we could help.”
Naomi Martin-Smith – Learning and Development Co-ordinator from FCHO said: “We are incredibly grateful for the generous donations that have provided school uniforms for children residing in FCHO properties in Oldham. Your kindness has made a significant impact on our community, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to attend school feeling confident and ready to learn.
Your contributions are making a real difference in the lives of these children and their families. Thank you for standing with us in support of our future generations!”
Parents reached out to tell us how grateful they were for the fund, with one local Mum telling us: “Thanks to the support we received, my 14-year-old son, 6-year-old daughter, and 4-year-old son now have the uniforms they need. It’s such a relief to know they can start the school year with new clothing that fits. Without this support my 14-year-old especially, would not have been happy in last years. It’s hard enough at the moment to entertain them all, leaving aside new uniform.”
