Our history

Established as a limited company in 1980, A Connolly Ltd worked predominately as a sub-contract painting business in the housing, commercial and new build sectors of the industry.

Over the last 40 years the business has continued to develop and grow its service offering, focusing on its core strengths in order to enable the transformation into a regional main contractor in its own right.

Whilst A Connolly Ltd has continued to achieve sustainable growth, increasing turnover, employee numbers and long term partnerships, a full business rebrand was completed in 2017. This rebrand introduced our new business name Connolly Ltd and also redefined our core business streams – Housing, Build and Development.

Current Business Structure

Connolly Ltd is a family owned business which operates predominately in the North of England, North Wales and Yorkshire. With an annual turnover of around £40m its focuses on the delivery of three core business streams;

Our business model involves the direct delivery of services with local people from the local areas and we currently employ over 300no employees and have an established local approved supply chain of over 130no local specialist subcontractors.

Connolly Ltd is currently appointed to over 50no National and Regional Frameworks for the delivery of Housing, Build and Development Works and delivers projects ranging in value from £50k to £10m in value.
